My Story
August Nolan, a tough yet soft-spoken former New Jersey state cop turned private investigator. When he's not working a case, Nolan can often be found nursing a Jack Daniels at Amanda’s, his favorite Hoboken watering hole. Nolan’s latest assignment involves investigating Hoboken’s charismatic young mayor, who is suspected of graft in a lucrative construction contract scheme.
As Nolan delves deeper, he uncovers connections to a major smuggling operation and a suspicious car accident involving a missing campaign worker. The PI’s relentless pursuit of the truth attracts the attention of a dangerous crime syndicate and some within law enforcement, putting him and those he cares about in peril.
Despite his live-and-let-live attitude, Nolan is prepared to unleash his formidable fighting skills to protect a young protégé and his family from becoming collateral damage. Live Till I Die features a vibrant cast of characters, the rich backdrop of Hoboken, romantic tension, and action-packed scenes that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. The novel seamlessly blends investigative techniques with bartender’s wisdom, drawing comparisons to Robert B. Parker’s “Jesse Stone” and “Spenser” novels, but with an arguably harder edge.
